Wedding Invitation FAQ

Why do I want to design my own invitations?

When you design your own invitations, you are guaranteed that no one else, anywhere, will have the invitation you have designed.
When you purchase invitations elsewhere, you will undoubtedly find an invitation you love but eventually someone else will choose the same invitation. The only difference will be the details.

Can I incorporate a design, logo, or motif that I have into my invitations?

Yes! That’s what makes this so exciting! If you have something that your
friends and family relate to you than you can incorporate it into all of your
paper products. It’s the ultimate in custom designing!

What is the design process:

I will meet with you for a free one-hour consultation. We will discuss
what you’d like your invitations to say about you, your relationship and
your upcoming marriage. I then design two or three samples. We meet
again and that’s when we “tweak” them to narrow the design down to
what you like and finally come to exactly the invitation you want to speak
of your wedding day.

Are your invitations embossed?

No. Being a Wedding Coordinator myself and budget being a major
concern for clients, flat printing is much for budget friendly. The paper
used along with your design will make the desired statement.

Is there a minimum number I have to purchase?

No. When you place your order with me, you only purchase the number you are planning to mail out. If you are planning to send “173” invitations, that’s all you order from me. No lots of 25 or 50. Although I do suggest you increase that number by 5-10. There is inevitably someone who
wasn’t included in the initial guest list as well as having one for your memory book!

Will you address the envelopes for me?

Yes! Yes! Included in all of my invitations is the printing of the exterior envelopes. If you send me an Excel spreadsheet with your guest list, I will print all your envelopes at no additional cost. This not only takes the task of handwriting them all off your plate but it completes the invitation ensemble with the same font start to finish.

Do you mail the invitations?

Absolutely! I will be more than happy to assemble and mail your invitations for you. The cost of the postage will be added to your remaining balance.

What is your delivery time?

If time is an issue, because I do it all, delivery can be as soon as necessary.
Typically once the design is created delivery takes about 4-6 weeks.

Do you do other printing?

Yes! I love to follow the design creating a complete ensemble. Beginning with the Save the Date Magnet to the Wedding Invitation onto the Ceremony Programs. Then when your guests arrive at your reception the design continues with the Escort Cards and finally when your guests sit down to dinner the design is also seen on the Table Markers and Menu Cards. If you would like, we can also incorporate your design into the Favors. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!!!

When can we get started?

Give me a call or drop me an email and we’re on our way. I would be honored to be a part of this wonderful and exciting time in your life.

Wedding Coordination FAQ

How can Valerie help me with my wedding?

Everything I do is custom designed to each clients needs. I can help you as little or as much as you’d like.

I've heard wedding coordinators are expensive and for people with large budgets. Is that right?

NO! Consider my services as “insurance”, “security” and most importantly “peace of mind”. Recently I had a Mother of the Bride nickname me “Peace”. She said that as soon as we began working together and she realized how much help I was that it gave her Peace of Mind. What a compliment!

Why should I hire Save the Date with Valerie?

When you hire me you get ME. I answer your phone call, not someone you don’t know and have no personal relationship with. Communication is important to me so I make it a priority. I am able to check email wherever I am and respond quickly. I am also a team player. I am very aware of how necessary it is for all the vendors to work well together in order to pull every detail together and make your day what you’ve envisioned. I do this because I love to do it. It’s not just a job or a business to me. Your interests are my interests.

What will you do for me?

You can be sure that I will champion for you. Because life continues to move on while you’re planning for the biggest day in your life and your job requires your full attention, I will be there to take care of the things you don’t have time to plan and follow up on. I will help determine which vendors are right for you and your budget. Speaking of budget, I will work hard to keep you within your budget while ensuring you get what you want. If you have difficult family dynamics or need advise on religious issues, I’m there to help you figure those out. You may have already planned most of the day but you need me to come in and tighten the details and see that things run smoothly. Many brides have family and friends who have offered their services and help BUT you really want those friends and family to attend your wedding not work it. That’s what I do. I am your eyes, ears, sounding board, and right hand.
